DREAM
DREAM (Defence Related Environmental Assessment Method) is the Defence Estate's own method for measuring the environmental performance of a building. It is specifically tailored to Defence Estates buildings and uses a system with rates the building as Excellent, Very Good, Good or Pass (like BREEAM).
Why do it?
Any new military construction project, whether new build or refurbishment, must be rated using an environmental assessment rating. DREAM is ideal to use for military buildings as it has been specifically tailored to them.
How can we help?

Assessments can be carried out only by registered assessors, which we are.

Our practical skills and knowledge of construction allow us to provide support that can increase the environmental performance of projects while saving money.

We are able to lead specific workshops to focus on key sustainablity issues such as energy, waste or choice of materials (also see Sustainable Strategies, Waste and Recycling).

Produce contractor "Prelims" to ensure that responsibilities for achieving specific assessment items are clearly defined.

Produce renewable energy calculations and reports to assist with the assessment of low and zero carbon technologies which form part of the assessment (also see Carbon Reduction Strategies).
